  1. Is there no link to just download all of them at once to peruse at my leisure? I have bought all of your books that I know about. Do you really expect people to download all of these one by one? It’s much easier to delete what doesn’t appeal to you.

  2. Thanks Tim! This is really cool and helpful.

By the way, I liked how you ended your conversation with John Crowley on PodCast 225:

Keep experimenting, work smart and play often!

    New mantra for me.

  3. OMG Finally!!! Can’t believe you actually did it… (obviously outsourced but i’m sure the QA must have been a pain!)

  4. Tim – Thank you for sharing the transcripts of your podcasts; it will save your audience oodles of time when sharing impactful tidbits of information.

    – Do you think your audience will grow as a result? Are you only measuring on downloads?

    – Why did you choose now to transcribe all of the podcasts instead of as you released them or batching?

  5. Tim, as always you keep improving yourself and the services you provide to the WORLD !!! … just wanted to comment that I can not open any of the links with the transcripts… might be a temporary tech problem, just wanted you to be aware of it. Onece again thank you and have the best day EVER !!!

  6. Thank you Tim – seriously. That “Wouldn’t it be great if there were transcripts for all his interviews?” thought at the back of my head just materialized before me

  7. These are SO APPRECIATED!! Maybe I’m the outlier weirdo, but I prefer reading most of the time. I can read faster than listening, and it’s easier to visually scan and find what I need to focus on. Can’t do that while listening. Maybe smart reading is becoming a lost art/skill…

  8. Tim

I have been a silent fan of your books and your approach to life. I want to tell you that these transcripts are JUST WHAT I CRAVED FOR. Am just not an audio guy and brief reads are perfect for me. Thanks for taking care of this one.

    Warm Regards

  9. These are much appreciated. I do wonder, however, why they are all not a downloadable PDF and only the first 150. Perhaps just a marketing thing, but it would be nice to be able to grab them all to have an easily searchable database. Ah well, you have to work for what you want!

  10. Awesome!!!!

I’ve been waiting/hoping for this for years. It takes too long to listen – us reader types can absorb much faster from a transcript.

I’m going to go read them all, start to finish, over the coming weeks.

    Thanks Tim!

  11. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Long time reader, first time commenter – excited to ‘read’ many of these transcripts now! Thanks! 😀

  12. I have a number of hearing imapered colleagues and I know how much they value transcripts thanks for doing this. Would you be willing to share the process you used to get the transcripts? It would be great for accessibility if more people could find a way to make their content available.

  13. Thank you Tim…I wish there is an easy way to download all the transcripts in a single click (I know, its too much to ask for 🙂 )

This will be my Encyclopedia for anything technology, business, lifestyle.

Do you have a list of books that each of your guests have recommended in the podcast? I have tried googling in the past with no great results. If you don’t have it yet, I am happy to go through the transcripts and gather them for your listeners.

  14. I use your blog as a major resource for my personal self development, which makes my life and team infinitely better. This is going to be so helpful! Thank you so very much! What a wonderful early bday present for this Libra! Cheers, Tim-Tim! 🙂

  15. Hi Tim, Thanks for your great podcasts! I know you are focused on health and vitality. Please have Dr. Zach Bush on your show to talk about Glyphosate and its affects on the planet and what we can do about it. I have heard him speak many times and I believe you would really enjoy talking to him to help get his message out to the world. Keep up the great work!! Cheers, Michael Galasso

  16. Thanks SO much, have been wanting these for ages. I have a cochlear implant and am learning to hear again. Going to read along while listening.

  17. OMG, what a resource! I now love and hate you for this because I’ll need to find time to read what I didn’t find time to listen to before. And I’m late to the party as it is! But, seriously, thanks for being you and publishing it.

  18. Tim, you are THE Man. Amazing. I listen to your podcasts nearly every week and now with the transcripts will be able to go back and highlight some of the best learnings from your guests. Thank you again.

  19. hey tim, it is very nice of you to post them. your fictional character (the construct i have of you) is an inspiration for me. i think you should interview Wael Ghonim @Ghonim ( at twitter). he is an entrepreneur, engineer, googler, and the starter (or one of the starters) of the Egyptian revolution. it would be an inspiration about disruption, using social media for the common good, and who he magically convinced millions of Egyptians to finally disrupt.

  20. Thank you Tim. Appreciate the effort you took to do the transcripts. As a hearing impaired person podcasts are a pain when you are in a group and can’t join in the conversation with friends after. No more isolation! Now to speed read thru the transcripts…

  21. Love your work Tim. If you are looking for a real time source for captioning or other services to help the program communicate better with fans who have hearing loss or other hearing struggles community please let me know. I am friends with the owner of a great communication, caption, text, etc company who works a bunch in the education field and with major corporations all over the states. I’ve never heard of a podcast helping this community so much and he’s an innovative guy, maybe you could pair up. Thanks. Joe

  22. As I type this, I am taking a 24 hour break from thru-hiking the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail. I only have 350 miles to go! During this hike, I have listed to nearly every one of your episodes and I’m so grateful for these transcripts so I can go back to find particular passages that resonated with me, but wouldn’t be able to go back and listen through the hours and hours and hours of listening I have accumulated over the last few months. Thank you so much for the inspiration throughout my journey!

  23. Thanks a lot, Tim! Your podcasts, which I listen to during commute every day, have really changed the way I look and attack my problems.

I’m pretty sure you must have read the book, Relentless by Tim Grover. If not, I really think you’ll like it. Also, I would like you to consider bringing Tim Grover on your podcast. That’ll make a great conversation.

Hope you have a great weekend!

  24. Was just telling my sister about the amazing Doris Kearns Goodwin interview, but she’s not a podcast listener, yet. This is wonderful timing – sending the transcript to her now. Thank you!

  25. Thank you, Tim. The main paradigm shift you initiated in social medias is not the concept behing your first book but the essential idea that great success comes from sharing widely. This is how I introduce you to people who do not yet know you: “Tim Ferriss is a giver”. With your podcast and later books you have been inviting decision-makers, role-models and experts to do the same. You certainly deserve all the success and love you are getting!

  26. As someone with progressive hearing loss, it’s been a battle to listen to things. But I saved the emails as placeholders just in case I could find a quiet time and a good enough headset to comprehend them. I can now read them and that is so awesome! Thank you, sincerely.

  27. Thank you. I live with your podcasts everyday. You have enriched my life. I hope I can meet you someday. You have a special spot in my bookshelf.

  28. Tim – thanks for everything that you do! Much appreciated!

I need some help with one item: how to download the 4-Hour Chef so that I can listen to it on my iPhone. Does anyone have any tips that can offer? I have the link that was sent to me when I subscribed to the newsletter, but I can’t figure out how to download it to my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      1. I hope you are smarter than me when it comes to technology! 😊

If you are able to figure out home to get the 4-Hour Chef audiobook onto an iPhone, I would be thrilled to know how to do it.

Thanks for looking into that, Marta!

    1. Hi Rodd: I did not receive any link; perhaps because I subscribed later. If you have it and you can send it let me know. Or post the link here?

  29. This must have been a headache to put together. But it is worth it because there are friends of mine whom I have been annoying for years to listen to your podcasts but they hate listening to podcasts and love reading.

So I’m pretty sure they will love these transcripts. They’ll finally get the opportunity to have their lives positively changed forever by this guy called Tim Ferriss whom I mention virtually in every conversation.

  30. What an incredible gift you’ve given us, Tim. The podcasts themselves to start with, but to go to the trouble (not to mention expense) of having them all transcribed is truly above and beyond. Thank you. Sincerely.

  31. Thank you! I prefer reading than listening. I absorb and retain printed text far better than audio. I’ve caught myself writing down the words I have heard on your podcast.

  32. Arigato gozaimasu Timothy San. So much gold in these transcripts. I love all that you do. Being able to go back through and pick up on some of the details that I can’t write down sometimes (when I am listening while I garden for instance!). Oishi des. lol

  33. Thanks for adding the transcripts! As an English teacher, I look for audio content for my students that has transcripts, so they can listen and use the transcripts to check what they don’t understand. This is a great learning resource for them to use to improve their English. It’s also great for you, as it’s an excellent way to help expand your audience to listeners who’s first language may not be English (like most of the people on the planet). Now that there are transcripts, I’ll be promoting your podcasts to English learner throughout the world!

  34. Hi, I recently finished Tribe of Mentors and Tools of Titans. I can’t tell you much I enjoyed the books. I also enjoy and find useful and entertaining the ” 5 bullet Friday”. Though what I want to thank you for mostly is your encouragement to try -at the very least – the “5 Minute Journal”. I’ve never been a consistent, if at all, journal writer-or have simply just told myself that in order not to engage. However, whatever it was in your endorsement of that activity hooked me and while as hard as it is for me to believe-in just week I’ve seen some very interesting changes-bear in mind not drastic life changing ( yet) but internally noticeable. Also it is interesting how many things I seem to be more aware of. What has amazed more than anything else has been my adherence to my ” commitment” to write in the journal, again only a week, but I believe it will become a habit.

Thanks so much and keep up the great work.

  35. I really appreciate how quickly you are getting the new episodes posted!

Thanks again for this amazing resource on your website. It makes the archive much more searchable and shareable.

  36. Any chance for a search function? It’s so often I want to dig up something valuable in an old interview to share it with others, and I can remember roughly what I’m looking for but simply can’t find the right interview.

  37. Hi, Just wondering if someone can help – I am looking for the podcast where a teacher asks her students to write their dream/goals. I listened to it long time back but cannot remember it. Would love to listen to it again. Thanks for your help.

  38. Tim, love many things about this podcast, and learned a lot, but I believe your opinion about fairness is shaped by your position of privilege.

  39. fuck! you are the best, Tim! My English is shit and don’t understand the show by listening. But you provided transcripts and I can read the show and checking the dictionary if I don’t understand! Thank you Tim!!!

    1. Hi, Jeff –

You can try typing “transcripts” into the search field at the top of the blog, followed by the search term you’re looking for. So, say you wanted to look through all transcripts for “Viktor Frankl”; you would type in “transcripts” “viktor frankl” and hit enter.

You’ll see a number of results, many of which will be transcript links. Click on one, and then use your web browser search/find function to locate “viktor frankl” in the transcript page that loaded.

      Hope that helps!

      Team Tim Ferriss

      1. Are transcripts and “Show Notes” one in the same? Transcripts seems to be the term on the blog, can’t find “show notes” despite that terms routine use on the Podcast.

      2. Hi, Don –

The transcripts are the typed copies of the recorded podcasts, which you’ll find above. The Show Notes are a kind of summary of the topics covered in each podcast and include timestamps so that you may find the different topics easily within the show’s recording. The Show Notes can always be found on the same page as each podcast. Once on the desired podcast page, simply scroll down far enough to find the heading “SHOW NOTES,” after which you’ll see the different topics covered. Show notes come after the media player but before the comments section.

  40. Dear Tim, I have listened to every one of your Podcasts. For many years the only podcast but now I have added Jordan Harbinger. You have kept me sane through an emotionally abusive marriage. When I couldn’t sleep for brain churn your talks were so interesting that my mind would be engaged. Additionally listening to reasonable, logical and sensible people has been affirming. Thank you so much for making the transcripts available they are truly an amazing resource. I have given Tools of Titans to my four children who appear to value the book. Tim you are quite an amazing young man. BTW it is so lovely hearing your thoughts on your relationship with your girlfriend. I felt so pleased that you had finally begun a long term relationship (a while ago now). Cheers Maggie

  41. Can someone help me out? There is an old episode I’m trying to find. The guest was a woman who was some kind of consultant at one point and she had a billionaire client who hired her to help him with some legacy planning stuff who kind of blew her off but she got him to take her seriously and really helped him make better plans for his legacy. If that sounds familiar I’d love to find the episode again. Thanks.

  42. Hi Tim,

Huge fan and thanks for the great job. Just a suggestion: If the episodes and/transcripts could be listed with most recent on top.
